Summer is coming to a close and so my girlfriends and I are soaking up all these final days where kids can run wild while we sit, eat and chat. I cherish these days!
I make cheese boards fairly often and it’s truly something that I LOVE so I’ve been making them for our girlfriend/mom hangouts! The key is various flavored crackers, lots of fruits and veggies and yummy cheese!
A cheese that I found that I am eating on repeat is Roth Chevre fresh goat cheese! These 4oz logs are perfect for entertaining. Not too much, not too little. There are multiple flavors– from sweet to savory. My fav is the Honey Chevre, it pairs perfectly with crackers, strawberries and walnuts. I am not usually crazy about goat cheese, but these flavors truly are rich and tangy! Annnd this cheese is gluten free, RBST free and vegetarian. You don’t have to go to a fancy cheese store to find Roth– just head to your local Walmart!
If you make a cheese board, share it with me!! I want to see! Use #goattohaveit because I love looking at drool worthy cheese boards!
I made these amazing pesto crackers to pair with the cheese, the recipe is suuuper simple:
- Crostini/small crackers
- Throw crackers in a bowl
- Add 4 tablespoons of pesto
- Toss with crackers
- Top with cheese and fruit
